Cheating cases are rampant in science, specifically the statistics and math mods that do not implement screen recording and allow for the use of your phones through the course of the exam to transmit answers through communication apps ( telegram ). They present an easy means for cheating It is even more worrying that when presented with evidence, that little can be done to punish those that have cheated in said modules. For modules like ma2311 and st2132 the rumours of students about to cheat and have cheated are far from few... sincerely hope that module coordinators do their part to address such cheaters As a student in this trouble covid times, it has been a terrifying experience knowing that all your hard work in a mod is easily made worth nothing by some flagrant cheaters. I really hope with this that all faculties can adopt a more secure invigilation like CS complete with screen recording and a secondary camera on the desk
