NUSWhispers – Confession #50056

After having spent a year at NUS, I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that there is some strange underlying racism against international Indians on the part of Singaporean students. I haven't come across a single instance of the latter taking the initiative to start a conversation with the former (whether its a girl or a guy) unless they have been forced into an assignment/work together or seen them as a couple or in sports activities. And let me assure you on behalf of the former, its not that they are uninterested. I was warned before coming here that the locals were very cliquish but brushed it off. But now I think its quite true.
