The most toxic faculty at NUS has got to be NUS Law. I mean, from the perspective of a law student. Elitist, shallow, high-pressure, cut-throat, cliquish. Hard to blend in if you are not "their type" and with good grades. Not a happy experience and every year was a struggle. No one ever talks about that, however. It was a much better experience in JC or even army. There was a sense of inclusiveness - that even if you were different or not brilliant, you were still accepted and appreciated. Not at NUS Law where everyone was constantly competing and chasing and preoccupied with themselves. It was a lonely, tough time.
